Services Provided Golf Course Fairways Drainage - Plastic Pipe
In 2006, Ashbourne Golf Club (Derbyshire) appointed the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) to design fairways drainage systems their 11th, 12th, and 13th fairways which were prone to severe waterlogging and were closed throughout most of the winter months each year.
Turfdry submitted the most competitive price for the works and carried out the drainage installation in the summer of 2006 to the complete satisfaction of the STRI supervisor (Mr Jonathan Tucker) and the appointed representatives of Ashbourne Golf Club.

Turfdry has worked closely with Langley Park Golf Club throughout the period 1998 – 2010, when the club celebrated its centenary, to address drainage problems throughout the entire course with works including greens drainage with the Turfdry Drainage System, fairway drainage using both conventional plastic pipe and Hydraway Sportsdrain, and pond construction.
As with many long-established courses Langley Park GC found itself with widespread waterlogging problems as the old existing clay drainage system became defunct but it was unrealistic to instantly fund the cost if replacing an entire drainage system. In the circumstances the club made the sensible decision to concentrate initially on the most severe problems and fund the remainder of the project in phases.

As part of the preparations for hosting the British Masters PGA Championship, Woburn Golf & Country Club wished to make drainage improvements on two fairways of the prestigious Marquess Course, and chose the Turfdry Drainage System using Hydraway Sportsdrain.
