West Kent GC Delighted with Turfdry Greens Drainage

31st October 2017

West Kent Golf Club, Orpington, is the latest convert to the Turfdry Drainage System providing the best long-term solution to the problem of waterlogged clay-based golf greens. Three greens (the 4th, 8th, and 15th) were drained in September 2017.

As the club’s Greenkeeping staff were busy with other projects on the course, Turfdry were employed to undertake all of the works, including striping turf from the greens prior to the trenching operations, and relaying the turf upon completion of the works. With autumn being a busy time for Greenkeeping staff, more golf clubs have been turning to Turfdry to undertake this element of the works and have been impressed by the turfing skills of Turfdry’s operatives.

Steve Gledhill, General Manager at West Kent GC, commented, “Excellent work with minimum disruption to the course and members”.

We are delighted to hear Turfdry’s slogan of ‘Maximum Efficiency with Minimum Disturbance’ being echoed by our clients, and look forward to undertaking further projects with West Kent GC in the coming years.
