Hanwell Town Pitch Improvement Project Catches Premier League Attention

Turfdry have been delighted to monitor their 2018 pitch improvement project at Hanwell Town FC’s Powerday stadium thanks to the in-depth reporting of the club’s very own ‘man on the touchline’ - Clive Cook - and the wealth of photos shared by the club’s commercial director Nigel Hunt, which are a credit to a club of its size, and further testement to its ambitions for the future. Despite some challenging conditions, the pitch continues to look fantastic - in no small part thanks to the continued efforts of Head Groundsman Tom Duffy, who thanks to his double-duty as first-team centre-back can take pride in knowing it’s quality defending rather than a poor playing surface that stops the opposition from scoring!

Newly Constructed Pitches for Barratt Homes at Kingley Gate Continue to Develop Well

With the major works phase of the project complete, Turfdry’s design and construction of new grass sports pitches for Barratt Homes’ Kingley Gate development in Littlehampton is progressing well. 

Ongoing monitoring and maintenance has encouraged the development of a healthy grass sward, whilst a wide range of trees have been planted in accordance with the broader landscaping plan outlined by Barratt Homes for the site.

Site Visit Reveals Resounding Success of Drainage Project at Fulham FC's Training Ground

Turfdry was delighted to see the positive effects its recent drainage installation has had at Fulham FC’s Motspur Park training ground during a recent visit. What was formerly a persistent quagmire of muddy ground now blend seamlessly into the surrounds, with the high-performance Turfdry Drainage System using Hydraway Sportsdrain fixing a blemish on otherwise fantastic facilities worthy of the club’s Premier League status.

Turfdry Invited to Speak at FA Natural Turf Pitch Maintenance Conference

Turfdry was recently invited to give a presentation at the Northumberand FA’s Natural Turf Pitch Maintenance Conference, alongside Ian Powell from the Institute of Groundsmanship and The Football Federation’s Adrian Morris. The conference was held at the beautiful Close House Golf Club - home to the world’s only two Lee Westwood golf courses, as well as a stylish modern clubhouse and some rather chic accommodation, which we were lucky enough to enjoy.
